Black and White image of pearls spilling out of an open weave vase. The image is lighted from above to create subtle shadows. I found this vase at a local flea market and was an extraordinary find. The metal of this vase had deteriorated to a beautiful patina which caught my eye but also the unusual openness of the vase attracted me to it.

For as long as I could remember I have always been involved in creating in some form or another. I remember growing up in an environment where creativity was encouraged. My Mom was my biggest influence and inspiration. Photography satisfies my need to create. When I have a concept of an idea of what I want to capture, I can sometimes struggle with what is in my mind and executing the way my mind sees the image. Then there are times when my images take me in a totally different direction, further than anything that I had in mind with great results.
