Dawn at the Motif number 1 in Rockport, Massachusetts, USA. Motif number 1 in Rockport, Massachusetts, is a replica of a former fishing shack and is known and recognized throughout the world. It is said to be the often-most painted building in America. In the 1930s, painter John Buckley used the shack as his studio.
